ISLAMABAD, Feb 09 (APP):Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) issued a traffic advisory in view of ongoing development work at the Margalla Enclave underpass on Park Road, warning commuters of traffic congestion and advising use of alternate routes.
An ITP official told APP on Monday that traffic moving from Rawal Dam Chowk towards Tramri will be diverted via NIH Road, passing through Mohra Noor, and will rejoin Park Road through the designated diversion.
Similarly, traffic travelling from Tramri towards Rawal Dam Chowk will be diverted from Chai Khana, passing through the CDA Nursery area and along the iron grill, using two temporary roads to re-enter Park Road, he added.
The official said that commuters may also use Lehtrar Road via Khanna Pul and Islamabad Expressway as alternate routes to reach different parts of the capital.
He warned that due to the continuation of development work, heavy traffic pressure is expected on Park Road and urged citizens to plan their journeys with an additional 20 to 30 minutes of travel time.
Citizens were advised to stay updated about the traffic plan by contacting the ITP helpline 1915 or emergency helpline Pucar-15.
