PESHAWAR, Nov 04 (APP):Provincial Minister for Irrigation, Riaz Khan here on Tuesday chaired a meeting to discuss overall performance and output of irrigation department.
The meeting among others was attended by secretary irrigation, Muhammad Ayaz, chief engineers and other senior officials.
Secretary irrigation gave a detailed briefing to the minister on the overall performance of the department, ongoing development projects and newly approved schemes.
Speaking on the occasion, minister announced to personally visit various districts of the province to review the progress of ongoing projects public welfare schemes initiated by the department.
He stated that directives have been issued to ensure equal development opportunities across the province and to resolve public issues promptly. He urged officers to perform duties with dedication and warned action against those found dereliction of duties.
The minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to make irrigation department an active, transparent and people-friendly institution.
