SARGODHA, Nov 05 (APP): A ceremony was held at Government Ambala Muslim College Sargodha to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
The event was attended by Major General (retd) Muhammad Arif Warraich, who highlighted the importance of Iqbal’s vision in shaping the nation’s future, said a press release issued here on Wednesday.
The speakers highlighted Iqbal’s contributions to Urdu literature and his vision for a united and prosperous Pakistan.
The ceremony paid tribute to Iqbal’s legacy, emphasizing his role as a poet, philosopher, and thinker.
Speaking on the occasion, Major General (R) Muhammad Arif Waraich emphasized the need to follow Iqbal’s vision and ideals to overcome the challenges faced by Pakistan.
Dr Haroon Rasheed Tabassum highlighted Iqbal’s poetic and philosophical contributions, emphasizing his role as a guide for the youth.
Professor Tafakhar Mahmood Gondal paid tribute to Iqbal’s legacy, emphasizing his role in promoting Islamic values and human rights.
The ceremony included a cultural program featuring students from Government Model High School No. 1 and Government APS Memorial School.
At the end, a cake-cutting ceremony was held to mark Iqbal’s birth anniversary.
