PESHAWAR, Jan 18 (APP):Chief Executive Officer of Markhor Group of Companies, Nabeel Afridi, has said that sincere efforts to promote Pak-China trade will yield positive results. He expressed confidence that the CPEC project will not only prove beneficial for Pakistan’s economy but will also help eliminate unemployment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and bring prosperity to the province.
He shared these views during his visit to the Chinese Cultural Center, China Window, here on Sunday.
During the visit, he toured various galleries of the Chinese Cultural Center and showed keen interest in them.
Nabeel Afridi said that the brotherly neighboring country, China, has always safeguarded Pakistan’s interests. He added that Pak–China friendship is widely acknowledged because China also wants to improve Pakistan’s economic conditions, with CPEC being a major example of this commitment.
He said that the perception that investment is not possible in Peshawar and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to the law and order situation is incorrect. Rather, the reality is that industrialists and investors need to play a positive and constructive role while facing challenges.
Appreciating the initiatives at China Window for teaching the Chinese language and providing free scholarships, Nabeel Afridi said that Markhor Group of Companies will extend full support to male and female students from Peshawar and across the province who wish to pursue education in China, by facilitating their admissions to Chinese universities and colleges.
Congratulating the people of both countries on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Pak-China friendship, Nabeel Afridi, a pride of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s investment community, said that China is Pakistan’s time-tested friend.
He added that at a time when Pakistan needed a sincere ally, China has always fulfilled its role as a great friend, bringing the people of both countries closer together.
He expressed confidence that Pak-China friendship will grow even stronger in the future. He also termed the second phase of CPEC as extremely important for Pakistan’s economic development, stating that while this phase will bring transformation in technology, new industries established in Special Economic Zones will provide employment to millions of people.
Praising China Window, Nabeel Afridi said that after visiting the center, it feels as if one has arrived in a city of China. He described China Window as a remarkable hub of Pak-China friendship.
