HYDERABAD, Oct 15 (APP):The Inter-Faculty Futsal Championship began at Sindh Agriculture University (SAU) Tandojam, hosted by the Directorate of Sports. The championship was formally inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor Dr. Altaf Ali Siyal, who kicked the ball to mark the opening.
In the opening match, the Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences defeated the Faculty of Agriculture Social Sciences by 4–1. Salman Baloch scored three goals, while Kamil Sharif added one for the winning team.
The second match was played between the Faculty of Crop Protection and the Information Technology Center, which Crop Protection won by 3–1. Rahimdad and Ameer Hamza were the standout players of the match.
Addressing the opening ceremony, the Vice Chancellor Dr. Altaf Ali Siyal said that winning and losing are part of life and help build resilience.
He emphasized that sports activities play a vital role in the mental growth and character-building of students. He further stated that SAU provides regular sports opportunities every season, enabling its students to excel at both national and international levels.
Director Sports Anwar Hussain Khanzada briefed the audience about the championship. The event was attended by Dr. Sohail Otho, Muhammad Umar Dasti, faculty members and a large number of students.
