Intense heat, humidity grips Peshawar
PESHAWAR, Jun 26 (APP):Provincial metropolis of Peshawar and its surrounding areas witnessed severe spell of heat and humid conditions with a temperature of 34 degree Celsius.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the city’s temperature was recorded at 34°C on Saturday morning but extreme heat and humidity the situation was more severe and unbearable for residents of Peshawar.
The weather department forecasts that the city will experience mostly sunny conditions and temperature is expected to rise to 39°C.
Meanwhile, health experts have advised citizens to avoid unnecessary outdoor activities during peak sunlight hours and to increase their intake of water and other fluids to prevent heat-related illnesses and dehydration.
