MIRPUR, Nov 24 (APP): Chairman of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Technical Vocational Education Training Authority (TEVTA) Chaudhry Muhammad Farid has said that all possible steps were being taken to enable the youth of every school of skilled thought to join the race of global development, strengthening the country’s economy through securing technical education in various disciplines of their own choice.
He expressed these views while speaking as a special guest at an awareness session organized by the Government College of Technology Mirpur on the occasion of development and promotion here Sunday.
Chairman District Council Raja Naveed Akhtar Goga, District Education Officer Muhammad Ishaq Mughal, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Umar Shehzad Jaral, former President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Faisal Manzoor, Raja Khalid Mehmood of the Association of Traders and others also spoke on this occasion.
The Chairman TEVTA said that there were 887 vacancies of technical teachers in Azad Jammu Kashmir at present. He underlined that technical education has been arranged in the public sector schools after the routine academic activities from three to five o’clock in the afternoon every day.
“It is aimed at facilitating that the simply jobless graduate students be skilled to get employment by securing technical education at the technical education centers close to their homes,” he underlined.
The TEVTA Chairman further said that courses had been started to teach the Holy Quran online worldwide through computer labs and mobile phones in religious schools so that boys and girls in homes and schools could be able to benefit from the learning and teaching of the Holy Quran through the online classes, he concluded.
