LODHRAN, Jul 29 (APP):In accordance with the directives of the Punjab government, Lodhran district is all set to celebrate the Independence Day with patriotic zeal and enthusiasm.
The preparations were reviewed in a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Dr Lubna Nazir in the committee room.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Muhammad Asad Ali presented a detailed multimedia briefing on the schedule and activities planned for the celebrations.
The meeting was attended by key stakeholders, including President of the Central Traders’ Association Malik Asghar Arain, General Secretary Tahir Javed Bhatti, renowned religious scholar Maulana Muhammad Mian, General Secretary of the Petroleum Association Ali Shiraz, civil society members Junaid Ahmed, assistant commissioners from all three tehsils — Iram Shehzadi, Ghulam Mustafa Jutt, and Muhammad Asghar Iqbal — as well as heads and representatives of various provincial and federal departments.

A Family Night Festival at Children’s Park on the evening of August 13, concluding with a spectacular midnight fireworks show.
The main Independence day ceremony featuring flag hoisting and a salute will be held at District Council Lodhran on August 14.
Special decorative lighting and flag displays across all government and private offices, marketplaces, and residential areas from August 1 to 14.
Prohibition on the sale of noise-making plastic horns (bajay) on independence day this year.
In addition, public and private buildings will be adorned with green and white balloons, which will be released into the air at designated times. Schools and colleges will hold special ceremonies, including national song competitions, to promote a spirit of patriotism among students.
A district-wide tree plantation campaign, building decoration competitions, musical concert featuring patriotic performances while major markets and roads would be decorated in a model way.
