Illegal petroleum, LPG units raided
MUZAFFARGARH, Sep 22 (APP):Civil Defence officials seized equipment of an illegal petroleum unit and five
LPG decanting machines during a crackdown in different areas of the district
on Tuesday.
According to official sources, two cases were registered against people involved
in illegally transporting LPG in vehicles.
The action was carried out in the jurisdictions of Civil Lines, City and Khangarh
police stations under the supervision of Civil Defence Officer Arshad Hamid Sandhu.
According to Civil Defence sources, equipment of an illegal petroleum unit was
confiscated during the operation. One complete unit, two LCDs and two circuit
boards were also taken into custody.
The officials also registered two cases against two persons for illegally transporting
LPG in vehicles. Both suspects were arrested and handed over to the police concerned
for further legal action.
During the crackdown against illegal LPG decanting, five decanting machines
were also seized by the Civil Defence team.
Civil Defence Officer Arshad Hamid Sandhu said that action against illegal businesses
would continue without any discrimination.
The operation covered areas falling within the jurisdictions of Civil Lines, City and
Khangarh police stations, according to Civil Defence sources.
