Ikhtair Wali accuses PTI govt for failure to establish peace in KP

PESHAWAR, Jul 27 (APP):Pakistan Muslim League (PMLN) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Secretary and former Member Provincial Assembly (MPA), Ikhtair Wali Khan here Saturday that Pakistan Tahrik e Insaf despite remaining in power of the last 12 years has failed to establish peace in the province.
After 18th constitutional amendment, he said that maintaining peace and law & order was the prime responsibility of the provincial government, however PTI Government was failed to fulfill its constitutional duties and protect people from subversive acts.
He said the recent suicide and bomb blasts including Bannu cantonment bombing and killing of senator Hidayatullah in Bajaur blast had showed the PTI Government’s failure to establish peace in the province.
He said the people of Pakistan knew about a political party that had facilitated inimical forces to come back after the operations Zarb e Azb and Raadul Fasad had broken back of terrorists.
In a statement here, the PMLN leader said that Federal Government had provided about Rs500 billion to the PTI Government for strengthening/equipping of the counter terrorism department (CTD) and police, adding had this huge fund utilized properly for the capacity building of these institutions then no such subversive activities would happened as the nation saw recently.
He claimed that CM KP has failed to inform people about his government policy about countering of menace of terrorism rather made a tall mere slogan of opposing the anti terror operations.
The PML leader said that it would have been better if the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa made focus on settling the land dispute between the warring tribes in Kurram district where several people were killed and injured in last few days.
Like PTI founder, he claimed that CM KP was also master of taking U turns referring to his changing statements during Apex Committee, after meeting with the Prime Minister at Islamabad and Bannu public meeting which showed contradictions in his statements and actions.
In the wake of poor law and order situation especially in southern districts including the home district of CM KP , he said that the statement of Ali Amin Gandapur to oppose the operation in KP was totally irrational and beyond his understanding.
The PMLN leader said that all negative attempts to create division among people on the basis of language and caste would be resisted strongly and reiterated that no one would be allowed to take law in hands and target innocent people for accomplishment of their ulterior motives.
He said that PTI was in search of dead bodies as evident of turning the Bannu peace march as violent and politicised it for personal gains.
Besides peace and law and order, he claimed that education and health sectors were marred due to poor policies of the PTI.
The PMLN leader said that higher education was badly affected in KP where about 18 public universities are at the verge of shutdown.
He said KP had been put under heavy loans burden in last 12 years and the problems of common man increased manifolds.
The PMLN leader warned that constitution of Pakistan would take its path if the CM KP failed to fulfill his constitutional duties.
