LAHORE, Oct 02 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, has taken notice of the double murder of civilians as well as the injury of two police officers in Rawalpindi, and has summoned a report from the regional police officer (RPO) Rawalpindi.
The IGP has directed the city police officer (CPO) to ensure the immediate arrest of the suspects involved in the firing incident. He emphasised that all available resources should be utilised to apprehend the culprits promptly.
Furthermore, Dr. Usman ordered that the injured police officers be provided with the best possible medical treatment and care.
According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, senior police officials along with police teams reached the scene swiftly, and forensic teams have collected evidence. The CPO Rawalpindi confirmed that teams have been formed to arrest the suspects and assured that the arrests will be made soon.
