ISLAMABAD, Feb 15 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi visited the Red Zone to review security arrangements and operational preparedness in the high-security area.
An official told APP on Sunday that SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and other senior police officers accompanied the IGP Rizvi during the visit.

He said the IGP Rizvi inspected security measures at key government and private institutions and reviewed the checking process at entry and exit checkpoints. The IGP directed officers to further strengthen security and ensure that all protective measures are implemented without exception.
The official said the IGP Rizvi also emphasized effective monitoring through Safe City cameras to maintain constant vigilance and enable immediate response to any suspicious activity.
Later, the IGP Rizvi chaired a meeting at the Security Division, which was attended by DIG Headquarters Malik Jameel Zafar, SSP Security Captain (R) Syed Zeeshan Haider, AIG Special Branch Muhammad Sarfraz Virk, SSP Investigations Muhammad Usman Tariq Butt, and SSP CTD Muhammad Arsalan Shahzeb.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on security of the Red Zone and other sensitive locations, intelligence sharing, inter-district coordination, and response strategies for emergency situations.
The IGP Rizvi directed officers to further activate community-oriented policing initiatives, ensure effective coordination among divisions, and prioritize the protection of citizens’ lives and property.
Islamabad Police reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining peace and ensuring a secure environment in the federal capital.
