ISLAMABAD, Oct 21 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi chaired an important meeting at the Central Police Office to review the overall law and order situation, security arrangements, crime control measures, and traffic management in the federal capital.
An official told APP on Tuesday that the meeting was attended by DIG Muhammad Jawad Tariq, AIG Logistics Abdul Haque Umrani, SSPs, CTO Islamabad, and SPs.

During the meeting, the IGP Rizvi issued clear instructions to ensure strict checking at all entry and exit points of the city and to maintain close monitoring of suspicious individuals. He directed senior officers to intensify efforts for the prevention of crime, arrest of proclaimed offenders, and a crackdown against organized criminal elements.
He emphasized that effective patrolling must be ensured to curb unlawful activities, while negligence in ensuring the safety of citizens’ lives and property would not be tolerated.
IGP Rizvi also instructed the Chief Traffic Officer to take concrete measures for smooth traffic flow, particularly during peak hours, and to adopt strong legal action against violators disrupting traffic.
He reiterated that protecting the lives, property and dignity of citizens remains the top priority of Islamabad Police, adding that maximum facilities must be extended to the public in line with professional policing standards.
