LAHORE, Nov 15 (APP): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar chaired an important meeting of Legal Inspectors at the Central Police Office Lahore to review seniority, service structure, and promotion matters. The meeting was attended by Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, DIG Establishment-I Suleman Sultan Rana, DIG Establishment-II Captain (R) Liaqat Ali Malik, AIGs Discipline and Legal, and other senior officers.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said legal officers are the backbone of Punjab Police in judicial and legal matters, and their welfare and service structure improvement remains a top priority. He held consultations on proposals for a uniform promotion procedure for Legal Inspectors and issued necessary directions.
The IG also announced that new posts of SPs and DSPs Legal will be created to further strengthen the legal structure of Punjab Police.
