LAHORE, Nov 15 (APP): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has released an additional Rs 2.55 million for the medical treatment of Ghazi officers injured in the line of duty across Lahore and other districts.
A Punjab Police spokesperson said injured Constable Muhammad Ali received Rs 1 million, Constable Muhammad Bilal Rs 500,000, Sub-Inspector Muhammad Zawar Rs 300,000, Constable Muhammad Abbas Rs 250,000, ASI Raees Ahmad Rs 200,000, ASI Muhammad Hassan Rs 200,000, and ASI Muhammad Latif Rs 100,000 for medical expenses.
The release of funds was formally approved by the Compensation Award Committee under the chairmanship of Additional IG Welfare and Finance Imran Arshad.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar said that thousands of police officers have been injured while protecting citizens and their properties, and providing the best medical care and early rehabilitation for Ghazi officers remains a top priority. He directed supervisory officers to ensure no effort is spared for the health and welfare of injured personnel.
