LAHORE, Dec 30 (APP): A rank-pinning ceremony was held at the Central Police Office on the directions of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr Usman Anwar, to honour officers promoted to the rank of inspector.
According to Punjab Police spokesperson on Tuesday, the IGP pinned ranks on 44 newly-promoted inspectors, including 21 officers from Multan Region, 23 from Bahawalpur Region. A large number of family members, including parents and children, attended the ceremony.
Senior police officers congratulated the promotees and their families.
Addressing the ceremony, IGP Punjab Dr Usman Anwar said that under the special patronage of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif and with the full support of the Punjab government, significant improvements had been made in the human resource, logistics, infrastructure and transport sectors of Punjab Police. He expressed gratitude to the provincial government for its continued support.
The ceremony was attended by Additional IG Punjab Imran Arshad, DIG Establishment-I Suleman Sultan Rana, DIG Headquarters Dr. Muhammad Abid Khan, DIG Establishment-II Captain (R) Liaquat Ali Malik, AIGs, SPs and other senior officers.
