IGP orders additional SP to report to CPO, suspends DSP over negligence
LAHORE, Jun 29 (APP):Punjab Inspector General (IGP) Abdul Kareem on Monday ordered Additional Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) Rawalpindi to report to the Central Police Office (CPO), Lahore, while suspending Deputy Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) Rawalpindi over negligence, carelessness and unsatisfactory performance.
According to a Punjab Police spokesperson, the IGP directed Additional SP Mudassar Iqbal to report to the CPO with immediate effect.
The spokesperson said DSP Headquarters Rawalpindi Imtiaz Ahmed had been suspended on charges of negligence, dereliction of duty and poor performance, and was also directed to report to the CPO as well.
He said Deputy Inspector General (Headquarters) Dr Muhammad Abid Khan had issued the official notifications regarding both officers’ transfer and suspension orders
