LAHORE, Aug 13 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has said that the police force is a family, and priority measures are being ensured to resolve the difficulties faced by the employees and their families.
The IGP Punjab said that RPOs and DPOs should provide all possible relief to their subordinate staff and force in personal and departmental matters so that they can focus fully on their professional duties.
He expressed these views on Monday during a meeting with police personnel and their families at the Central Police Office.
On this occasion, the IG Punjab issued orders for relief after hearing the requests presented by police personnel and their families. He forwarded the application of retired Inspector Khurshid Ahmad regarding the transfer of investigation to additional IG Investigation Punjab to provide relief on the merit. The request for assistance with educational expenses of the daughter of Lahore Police cook Muhammad Sarwar was forwarded to DIG Welfare for relief. He instructed DIG Welfare to provide relief on the request for salary disbursement to the widow of deceased ASI Muhammad Mumtaz. Additionally, on the request for recruitment as a wireless operator under family claim for the son of ASI Muhammad Mumtaz, the IGP directed AIG Admin to provide relief. The IG Punjab also issued relief orders on the applications related to discipline, welfare, and admin issues.
