IGP issues relief orders for cops, families on multiple requests

LAHORE, Nov 07 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Dr Usman Anwar on Friday met with police employees and their families at the Central Police Office and listened to their concerns regarding promotions, seniority, welfare and administrative matters.
According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, the IGP issued on-the-spot directives for immediate relief in several cases. For financial assistance request from Sub-Inspector Riyasat Ali, IGP Dr. Usman instructed the Additional IG Welfare and Finance to provide relief. On Head Constable Falak Sher’s request for transfer and posting, the DIG Establishment-II was directed to grant relief. For the renewal of contracts of three Data Processing Officers, the IGP instructed the DIG Establishment-I to take necessary action. On Lady Junior Clerk Asaj Liaqat’s request for official residence, the AIG Development was directed to provide relief. Similarly, on the request of the wife of martyred Head Constable Liaqat Ali for allotment of a plot, the Additional IG Welfare and Finance was instructed to provide relief. For Inspector Muhammad Tahir’s request for cancellation of transfer, the IGP Punjab directed the Additional IG Punjab to take appropriate action.
Moreover, on the request regarding the promotion of 16 Inspectors (Legal), the DIG Establishment-I and Registrar were directed to take necessary steps to provide relief.
The IGP said that the best welfare of the police force and their families is the first priority and all possible measures are being taken in this regard.
