ISLAMABAD, Feb 19 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi visited various mosques and imambargahs during Isha and Taraweeh prayers to review the security arrangements and meet police officers as well as citizens.
An official told APP on Thursday that the IGP Rizvi inspected security deployment, monitoring at entry and exit points, checking mechanisms, and patrolling measures to ensure a safe environment for worshippers.
IGP Rizvi issued clear directions to further strengthen surveillance, improve checking procedures, and enhance patrol operations so that citizens could perform their religious obligations in a peaceful and secure atmosphere.
During the visits, the IGP Rizvi interacted with officers performing duties and appreciated their professionalism. He directed them to remain alert at all times and discharge their responsibilities with dedication, discipline, and a strong sense of public service.
ICT Police reiterated that ensuring the safety of citizens, particularly during Ramazan, remains the top priority, and comprehensive security measures are in place across the federal capital.
