IGP Islamabad meets polio survivor, special person biker Mustafa Ali; holds open court

ISLAMABAD, Jan 02 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP),  Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi on Friday met polio survivor, national and international weightlifting champion and special person biker Mustafa Ali at his office and lauded his courage and achievements.
A police official told APP that AIG Establishment Shoaib Masood and other senior officers were also present during the meeting. Mustafa Ali briefed the IGP Rizvi about his Maarka-e-Haq Bunyan-ul-Marsus National Ride, launched from Karachi, aimed at representing persons with disabilities, paying tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces and martyrs, and spreading a message of resilience by travelling across the country on a specially designed motorcycle.

The IGP Rizvi appreciated Mustafa Ali’s determination and national spirit, encouraged him to continue his mission, and presented him with an honorary police shield as a mark of respect and recognition.
Meanwhile, the IGP Rizvi also held an open court at the Central Police Office under the open-door policy. During the open court, he listened to complaints and issues raised by citizens and police personnel and issued on-the-spot instructions to the concerned officers for their prompt resolution.
He directed officers to ensure merit-based and timely disposal of applications, stating that addressing citizens’ problems remains a top priority. He added that any citizen facing police-related issues may attend the open court, reaffirming that his office remains open to the public.
Acting on complaints received, the IGP Rizvi ordered the relevant officers to resolve the matters within the stipulated timeframe and submit compliance reports to the Central Police Office, adding that daily open courts are helping Islamabad Police resolve public grievances on a priority basis.
