Additional IG CTD Waseem Sial, RPO Sargodha Muhammad Shahzad Asif Khan, DPO Mianwali Waqar Azeem and other senior officers accompanied him.
RPO Muhammad Shahzad Asif Khan and DPO Mianwali briefed IG Punjab on security matters.
IG Punjab conducted a detailed review of border entry and exit routes, sensitive locations and also made detailed inspection of checkposts’ security, personnel, weapons and ammunition, thermal cameras.
He instructed to strictly check traffic coming from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the context of the Dajal checkpost suicide attack.
He also paid tribute to the soldiers for performing their duties well despite difficult circumstances. He also directed that force should remain alert at all times for emergency situations, intelligence-based operations should be continued.
