LAHORE, Oct 06 (APP):Punjab Police have handed over a new house to the family of another police official who embraced martyrdom in the line of duty.
According to a spokesperson for the Punjab Police, the family of Constable Zahid Hassan has been provided with a new house worth Rs. 13.5 million. The house, located in Sakhi Sarwar Colony, Rahim Yar Khan, was purchased in accordance with the family’s preference.
Through the special efforts of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, the Government of Punjab released funds for the house. Constable Zahid Hassan was martyred as a result of gunfire by criminal elements in the Katcha area. He is survived by his wife.
Paying tribute to his ultimate sacrifice, Dr. Usman Anwar said that Constable Zahid Hassan laid down his life while performing his duty with unwavering courage.
Dr. Usman further stated that the Punjab Police are the custodian of more than 1,700 martyrs like Constable Zahid Hassan, and the force takes immense pride in the sacrifices of its brave officers.
