LAHORE, Nov 07 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab, Dr Usman Anwar, on Friday approved Rs. 2.145 million for the medical treatment of police employees and their families.
A police spokesperson while sharing the details, Constable Nisar Ahmad was granted Rs. 500,000 for his wife’s cancer treatment. Retired Sub-Inspector Ghulam Shabbir received Rs. 450,000 for medical expenses, while retired Sub-Inspector Arif Gujar and ASI Jibran Safdar were each provided Rs. 250,000 for treatment.
Similarly, Head Constables Nabeel Ahmed and Muhammad Ashraf Khan were granted Rs. 200,000 each, whereas Constables Muhammad Atif and Muhammad Imran collectively received Rs. 195,000. Head Constable Basharat Aziz and Naib Qasid Muhammad Ali were also granted a combined amount of Rs. 100,000 for medical assistance.
The IGP approved the disbursement of funds after scrutiny by the Medical Financial Assistance Committee. Dr. Usman stated that Punjab Police is providing the best possible medical facilities to its employees through MOUs signed with various institutions.
