IGP approves Rs 3.015m for treatment of cops

LAHORE, Nov 17 (APP):Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Dr Usman Anwar on Monday approved the release of Rs 3.015 million for the medical treatment of police personnel.
Punjab Police spokesperson while sharing details said, constable Irfan Ali has been provided Rs. 500,000 for treatment of a severe illness. Constable Muneebur Rehman has received Rs. 300,000 for knee surgery, while Head Constable Atta Muhammad has been granted Rs. 250,000 for cancer treatment. Senior Traffic Warden Muhammad Naveed has also been given Rs. 250,000 for medical expenses.
The spokesperson added that Sub-Inspector Muhammad Ashraf has been issued Rs. 200,000 for hernia treatment. Constables Hameed Akhtar, Zeeshan Akram, and Sabir Hussain have each been provided Rs. 100,000 for treatment. Traffic wardens Baqar Raza and Shaman Ali, as well as security constable Muhammad Asif Rasheed, have also received Rs. 100,000 each.
Similarly, Senior Traffic Warden Abid Hussain and head constable Muhammad Umair have been granted Rs. 100,000 each. Retired inspector Muhammad Siddique, inspector Muzaffar Khan, and sub-inspector Waqar Younas have also been provided Rs. 100,000 each for medical treatment.
The spokesperson further said that constables Muhammad Faheem and Kashif Muneer have been given a combined amount of Rs. 275,000, while senior traffic warden Babar Rasool and constable Ghazanfar Abbas have jointly received Rs. 140,000.
IGP Dr. Usman approved the disbursement of these funds following scrutiny by the Medical Financial Assistance Committee. He emphasised that Punjab Police, under MOUs with various institutions, continue to provide the best possible medical facilities for its personnel and their families.
