IGP approves Rs 2.351m for cops, families medical treatment

LAHORE, Oct 14 (APP): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab, Dr Usman Anwar, on Tuesday approved 2.351 million rupees for the medical treatment of police employees and their families.
Punjab Police spokesperson while sharing the details, said that Retired Sub-Inspector Saleem Khan has been given 500,000 rupees for cancer treatment. Corporal Ghulam Akbar (for cancer), Constable Ikram Ullah (for gallbladder treatment), and Constable Ghulam Akbar (for brain tumor treatment) have each been given 250,000 rupees in funds. Similarly, Constable Muhammad Aslam has been given 200,000 rupees for lung treatment, and Constable Atiq-ur-Rehman has been granted 150,000 rupees for appendix treatment.
Head Constable Sher Baz Ali and Constable Arman Zia have each been provided 100,000 rupees for medical treatment. Furthermore, ASI Muhammad Saleem, Driver Constable Kashif Shahzad, and Retired Constable Muhammad Boota have also been given 100,000 rupees each for medical treatment.
According to the spokesperson, the wife of martyred ASI Nisar Ahmad, Constable Nazakat Ali, and Driver Constable Mansoor Ahmad have been provided a total amount of 251,000 rupees for medical treatment.
IGP Dr. Usman approved the release of funds after scrutiny by the Medical Financial Assistance Committee. He said that Punjab Police are providing the best medical facilities to its employees under MOUs with various institutions.
