SUKKUR, Jan 07 (APP):Inspector General of Police Sindh, Javed Alam Odho, briefed the Sindh Home Minister, Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar on the overall security situation and police measures to combat crime in the region here on Wednesday.
The briefing was held at the DIG Sukkur office, where the IG Sindh highlighted the police’s proactive steps in both kacha and pakka areas.
The police are demolishing hideouts of dacoits and cracking down on their facilitators. Modern technology and intelligence-based operations are being used to pursue criminals. The IG Sindh stated that the police’s professional performance is satisfactory and commendable.
The home minister directed that a comprehensive strategy be adopted to eliminate crime in kachha and pakka areas. He emphasized that action against dacoits and their facilitators will be intensified, and those challenging state authority will be dealt with firmly.
The home minister assured that all resources are being utilized to maintain law and order, and no compromise will be made on the safety of citizens’ lives and property
