IG Punjab releases Rs1.5m for medical expenses of police officials

LAHORE, Aug 08 (APP):Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has released an additional amount of 1.5 million rupees to pay medical expenses to the officials posted in various districts including Lahore.
According to the details, IG Punjab has given 0.5 million rupees to Ghazi Head Constable Sultan Ahmad belonging to Muzaffargarh police. Rs 250,000  were given to the injured Constable Muhammad Saleem of Rawalpindi for treatment. Rs 150,000 were released for the medical expenses of injured Constable Muhammad Riaz of Muzaffargarh. Injured Constable Muhammad Imran of Pakpattan was given Rs 250,000 for medical expenses. Rs 250,000 were released for the treatment of the injured Constable Ismatullah of Sargodha, Rs 100,000 given to Ghazi Head Constable Abdul Jabbar of Lahore Police for medical expenses.
The above-mentioned officers and officials were injured during various incidents in the line of duty. The Compensation Award Committee chaired by Additional IG Welfare Riaz Nazir Gada approved the release of funds after scrutiny.
The IG Punjab said that the best treatment and early rehabilitation of police officials is the first priority, all possible cooperation will continue. He directed other supervisory officers including RPOs and DPOs to spare no effort for the best health welfare of Ghazi personnel.
