ICT Police rescue six, including children, from flash flood in Korang Nullah

ISLAMABAD, Jul 09 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police’s Shahzad Town Police Station team and specialized divers successfully rescued a family of six, including three young children, who were trapped in floodwaters on Wednesday.
An official told APP that heavy flooding in the Korang Nullah led to water entering nearby residential homes, endangering the lives of residents. Among those trapped in one house were two men, a woman, and three children identified as Muhammad Zulqarnain, Muhammad Zulkifl, and Muhammad Zoran.
Upon receiving a distress call via Rescue 15, Islamabad Police’s diving unit and Shahzad Town personnel immediately responded to the scene and safely evacuated all six individuals.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi lauded the timely response and bravery of the police personnel involved in the rescue operation and announced commendations and rewards in recognition of their dedication.
