ISLAMABAD, Apr 15 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police  arrested two wanted members of a snatcher gang during an operation in the jurisdiction of Shams Colony Police Station.
An official told APP on Wednesday that the police team used technical tools and human intelligence to track and apprehend the accused, who were involved in multiple snatching incidents.
He said snatched cash, mobile phones and weapons with ammunition were also recovered from their possession.
The official said cases had already been registered against the accused and further investigation was underway.
DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq said strict action was being taken against those involved in motorcycle theft and street crimes.
He said the ongoing crackdown had led to a noticeable decline in such incidents in the federal capital.
The DIG directed all officers to continue operations against criminal elements and ensure they were brought to justice.
