ISLAMABAD, Feb 01 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police have conducted a search and combing operation in the jurisdiction of Sumbal police station as part of ongoing efforts to curb criminal activities and strengthen security in the federal capital.
A police spokesperson told APP on Sunday that the operation was carried out under the supervision of SP Saddar Zone as part of regular search and combing drives being conducted across different areas of Islamabad.
The spokesperson said that female police officers also participated in the operation, while a detailed briefing was given to all police teams before the start of the search operation, highlighting professional conduct, legal procedures and coordination during checking.
During the operation, police teams checked 57 individuals, 21 houses, 36 motorcycles and 13 vehicles, while 10 suspicious persons were shifted to the police station for further legal proceedings and verification.
SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza said that the main objective of these operations is to tighten the security net around criminal elements and further improve the overall law and order situation in the city.
He added that Islamabad Police will continue indiscriminate action against criminals, land grabbers and drug traffickers to ensure the safety and security of citizens.
The SSP also urged citizens to cooperate with police during such operations and to immediately report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station or through the emergency helpline Pucar-15.
