ISLAMABAD, Nov 19 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police carried out large-scale search and combing operations in multiple areas under the jurisdiction of Industrial Area and Sangjani police stations to curb crime and strengthen public safety.
An official told APP on Wednesday that the operations were conducted under the supervision of SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza, while SP Industrial Area, SP Swan and SP Saddar monitored the field activities. Teams of ladies, police and CTD personnel also participated in the operations.
Before the start of operations, police personnel were given a detailed security briefing.
During the search operation, 627 individuals and 76 houses were checked. Police teams also inspected 17 shops, 35 hostels, 31 hotels and 7 guest houses.
Furthermore, 48 motorcycles and 28 vehicles were checked, while 30 suspicious individuals and three motorcycles were shifted to the respective police stations for verification and legal procedure.
The official said the primary objective of these operations is to curb criminal activities and enhance security in the surrounding areas.
He added that the Inspector General of Police (IGP) has issued strict directions to conduct a grand search and combing operations across the district to eliminate crime and ensure safety.
