ISLAMABAD, Jan 09 (APP):The ICT Administration, in collaboration with the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), here on Thursday successfully hosted a two-day “Mukabila Hifz Qirat” competition, celebrating the art of Quranic recitation. The event, held at the PNCA Auditorium in Sector F-5/1, brought together talented students from various madaris across Islamabad, showcasing their exceptional skills and deep connection with the Holy Quran.
The competition aimed to promote the spiritual and cultural significance of Qirat while fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of the Holy Quran. Participants were categorized by age and educational levels, ensuring fair competition. Both male and female students took part in separate rounds, captivating the audience with their heartfelt recitations.
The grand finale featured extraordinary performances by the finalists, leaving the audience and judges profoundly moved. Renowned Qaris and Islamic scholars formed the panel of judges, ensuring the event’s credibility and rigor.
In a ceremony presided over by Director General PNCA, Mr. Muhammad Ayoub Jamali, the winners were honored with shields and certificates in recognition of their outstanding achievements. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Jamali lauded the participants for their dedication, commending their efforts to preserve and promote the art of Quranic recitation.
The winners from each category will now represent Islamabad in upcoming national-level competitions, further showcasing their talent on a broader stage.
The event concluded with prayers for the country’s prosperity and the promotion of Islamic education.
The ICT Administration and PNCA reaffirmed their commitment to organizing such initiatives, which not only encourage spiritual growth but also serve as a platform for cultural and educational enrichment.
