BAHAWALPUR, Feb 25 (APP): The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) Bahawalpur chapter has confiscated huge cache of substandard juice in Hasilpur area of the district.
According to an official press release issued here, food Authority teams conducted operations and inspected a wholesale point and a bakery in Hasilpur. “During testing, the Brix value of the juice was found to be below the required standard,” it said, adding that violations included failure to provide a clear record of purchase and sale, as well as the presence of misbranded papar.
“A total of 1,700 liters of substandard juice and 30 kilograms of misbranded papar were discarded and food business operators were fined 85,000 rupees, and hundreds of liters of beverages were destroyed,” it concluded.
