LAHORE, Jun 02 (APP): The Honorary Consul General of the Russian Federation in Lahore Habib Ahmed called on Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan and discussed various aspects of Pakistan-Russia relations, including trade, cultural exchange, and regional security issues during a meeting at the Governor’s House here on Monday.
The CEO Russian Federation Consulate in Lahore Dr. Muhammad Ashraf Nizami was also present during the meeting.
On this occasion, the Governor Punjab emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to peace and its desire for strong relations with neighboring countries. He highlighted that sustainable peace is crucial for development and prosperity in the region.
The meeting underscored the need for strengthening bilateral relations and promoting regional peace and stability. He said that the development and prosperity of the people are crucial for sustainable peace in the region. The Governor Punjab said that Pakistan has always condemned terrorism at all levels and the world has also appreciated Pakistan’s sacrifices against terrorism. He further said that economic relations between Pakistan and the Russian Federation are moving towards improvement. He said that there is a need to increase people-to-people contacts between Pakistan and the Russian Federation. He said that Pakistan is interested in promoting cooperation with Russia in various fields including economic, cultural and educational. The Governor appreciated the services of the Honorary Consul General towards Pakistan.
CG Habib Ahmed said that Russia is eager to strengthen its ties with Pakistan and is dedicated to enhancing bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors.
