HISTORIC FEAT: Polish Gliders Set New Record Flying Over K2, CM GB

GIlGIT ,Jul 29 (APP): Gilgit Baltistan Chief Minister Haji Gulbar Khan congratulated Polish gliders on setting a new record by flying over K2, the world’s second-highest peak, in a glider aircraft. He called it a unique experience.

During a meeting with chief minister GB here in Gilgit on Monday the gliders expressed gratitude for the Chief Minister’s encouragement, saying it’s every glider’s dream to set a world record. They praised the suitable weather conditions in Gilgit-Baltistan, predicting that many will come for glider aircraft flying in the future.

The Chief Minister presented the gliders with traditional hats and souvenirs to commemorate their achievement.
