HYDERABAD, Sep 15 (APP):The Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) is facing an additional shortfall of 40 megawatts due to overloading of the 500kV Jamshoro Power Auto Transformer, resulting in two additional hours of load shedding at 14 grid stations under load management.
According to HESCO spokesman Saadiq Kubbar, forced load management of 40MW was being carried out due to the additional burden on the 500kV Jamshoro Power Auto Transformers.
He said the forced load management had been initiated on the directions of the RCC Jamshoro, affecting 14 grid stations.
The spokesman said load management was currently being carried out at the 132kV Bypass Hyderabad, Gulshan-e-Shahbaz, Kotri SITE and Nooriabad grid stations.
He added that load management was also being carried out at Kalo Khoohar, Thana Bula Khan, Jhimpir, Jhirk, Thatta, Mirpur Sakro, Sujjawal, Ladion and other grid stations.
The HESCO spokesman apologized to consumers for the inconvenience and assured that power supply would be restored to normal at the earliest.
