LARKANA , Jul 18 (APP):The heat wave continued to grip the surrounding areas, including Larkana and other cities in Northern Sindh.
The Meteorological Department in Moen Jo Daro stated that the weather would remain hot and dry until Saturday, with temperatures reaching up to 45-46 degrees Celsius. They advised people to stay indoors and only venture out for essential tasks such as purchasing kitchen items.
As a result of the scorching temperatures, 28 people in the region suffered from gastroenteritis. Medical assistance was provided by doctors at Civil Chandka Hospital, with some patients being transferred to the heat wave ward. Among the patients were names like Qadir Bakhsh, Mumtaz Ali, Rustam Ali, Inayat, Qurban, and Bibi Jaweria.
Doctors warned that the intense heat could lead to an increase in cases of gastroenteritis, urging citizens to take precautions to protect themselves. They advised the public to avoid unnecessary outdoor activities and to use cooling products to stay safe during this heat wave.
