The initiative is being carried out with the special support of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi, MNA Ali Asghar Khan and MPA Iftikhar Ahmed Khan Jadun, said a news release on Sunday.
Under the project, Havelian Type-D Hospital is being upgraded with modern ultrasound machines, improved labour room facilities, upgraded operation theatre equipment, newborn care units, oxygen concentrators, and better electrical infrastructure. Plans for solarization and a power backup system are also under consideration to address electricity shortages. Meanwhile, approval has been granted for 24-hour labour room services, new staff positions, and medical deployments at RHC Mohri Badbahan to ensure quality maternal and child healthcare at the community level.
