SARGODHA, Jun 18 (APP):Punjab Minister for Health Khawaja Salman Rafique on Wednesday visited the under-construction Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cardiology Sargodha.
He inspected the Outpatient Department (OPD) and other key sections of the institute.
He was briefed by officers and contractors regarding the project’s progress.
Sargodha Medical College Principal Professor Muhammad Waris Farooka and faculty members were also present.
Khawaja Salman Rafique expressed satisfaction over the rapid pace of development and emphasized that providing top-quality healthcare services at the doorstep of the public was a top priority of the government.
He stated that the Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cardiology would prove to be a state-of-the-art cardiac treatment facility for the millions residing in the Sargodha division.
The minister added that senior cardiologists and trained medical staff would serve at the institute to ensure quality healthcare delivery.
“We are making every possible effort to facilitate patients in government teaching hospitals,” he concluded.
