SARGODHA, Jul 09 (APP):Punjab Provincial Minister for Health Khawaja Salman Rafique on Wednesday visited the under-construction Nawaz Sharif Institute of Cardiology (NSIC) in Sargodha to review the ongoing progress.
The minister was accompanied by Secretary Department of Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Azmat Mahmood Khan, Chairman Advisory Committee for Cardiology, Dr. Farqad Alamgir and other senior officers.
Khawaja Salman inspected the recently completed OPD and various wards and diagnostic units, including the departments of ECG, Echocardiography, ETT, Holter Monitoring and Laboratory Tests. He directly met patients who came to the OPD and inquired about the quality of services provided.
He said that the state-of-the-art NSIC Sargodha will provide international-level medical facilities for the treatment and care of heart diseases to the millions of people living around.
The provincial minister was informed that 80 per cent of the construction work of the hospital’s indoor building has been completed. The project is expected to be fully functional by December 2025.
