QUETTA, 21 Jun (APP): Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandukhail on Friday said that we could revive the memory of Hazrat Khadija-ul-Kubra by ensuring the participation of women in economic and commercial activities for sustainable national development and prosperity.
He said that she was the torchbearer for the women of all Muslim countries adding that the women of Balochistan did not lack skills, but extreme poverty and non-availability of opportunities were obstacles in their way.
He expressed these views while talking to the delegation led by Zainul Abiddin, president of welfare organization Geo Balochistan, at Governor House Quetta.
Mehwish Janjua, Head of Women’s Chamber of Commerce and Nazia, CCO of Icon Institute were also present on this occasion.
Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandukhel said that according to the consciousness of this modern era of ever-changing world, women and men have an equal share in social and economic development and they were equal participants in all matters of life.
He said that it was a matter of pride that women were seen with great respect in our society, women’s economic independence could pave the way for them to achieve other rights.
