RAWALPINDI, Dec 12 (APP):Allama Syed Riaz Hussain Shah, a prominent scholar and Patron-in-Chief of Idara-e-Taleemat-e-Islamiya Pakistan, said that the remembrance of Hazrat Fatimah al-Zahra (ra) was not merely a subject, but a light that illuminates and strengthens faith. He said that her day should be celebrated in every city, every community and every home so the Ummah may be fully blessed by her greatness.
He was addressing a spiritually uplifting gathering on the noble life of Hazrat Fatimah al-Zahra (ra), which was held in connection with the celebration of the birth anniversary of the beloved daughter of the Prophet (PBUH). The event began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an and naat of the Prophet (PBUH). Dr. Zafar Iqbal Noori and former Secretary Auqaf Syed Tahir Raza Bukhari addressed the gathering, while Dr. Sarwar Hussain Naqshbandi recited naats and manqabats.
A large number of scholars participated and highlighted various dimensions of her blessed life, saying that the life of Hazrat Fatimah (ra) is a fountain of guidance for women of every era. She was the embodiment of patience, gratitude, modesty, and divine contentment.
In his address, Allama Syed Riaz Hussain Shah said that throughout different eras and civilizations, the status of women has been described in various ways, but Islam honored women with a rank unmatched in history. At a time of ignorance when daughters were buried alive, the Holy Prophet (PBUH) would stand up out of respect when his beloved daughter Fatimah (ra) entered. By rising to welcome her and kissing her forehead, the Prophet (PBUH) informed the world of her unparalleled status.
Allama Syed Riaz Hussain Shah said that the Qur’an declares, “We have honored the children of Adam.” The Prophet (PBUH) said, “Fatimah is a piece of my heart,” and in another narration, “My family is like the Ark of Noah”, said Allama Riaz.
Speaking of the true meaning of sustenance, he said that sustenance is not limited to bread alone; rather, righteous children, a pious spouse, good company, a sincere teacher and a noble spiritual guide are among the highest forms of divine provision.
He added that Hazrat Khadijah al-Kubra (ra) was pure and honorable even before the advent of prophethood, and when she came into the marriage of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), a household of unparalleled purity was established, one that illuminated the paths of humanity until the end of time.
He said that Siddiq-e-Akbar (RA) was the personality who considered even the dust touched by the footsteps of the Prophet (PBUH) superior to the heavens, so imagine the status he held for Hazrat Fatimah (ra).
“I urge all of you to love Allah,” he said, “and remember that Hazrat Ali (ra) is the vessel of divine love, from which the water of Allah’s pleasure is drawn”, he said.
The gathering concluded with a collective prayer for the Muslim Ummah, the beloved homeland, and all believers.
