KHANEWAL, Dec 19 (APP): An Economy Class coach of 13-Down Hazara Express was replaced at Abdul Hakim railway station by a Railways official team on Friday, in a demonstration of swift response to passengers’ complaints to ensure a comfortable travel experience.
The train that operates between Havelian and Karachi, was on way to its destination when passengers started complaining about some inconvenience. In a swift response to the complaints, Divisional Superintendent Railways Multan division Iftikhar Hussain, in line with standing instructions from Railways Minister Hanif Abbasi, immediately sent another coach from Multan to Abdul Hakim.
In the meantime, the passengers of the coach were served with breakfast and officials helped them shift their luggage to the new coach after it was connected to the train.
A coach of the train was replaced due to some technical reasons, railways officials said but did not specify the problem. Divisional Commercial Officer and Divisional Medical Officer got the whole exercise completed under their supervision.
Passengers expressed satisfaction over passenger-friendly response of the Pakistan Railways and thanked the management for its much needed and timely support.
