ISLAMABAD, Nov 05 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police’s Margalla Police team traced and recovered stolen antique silverware worth Rs 8 million from the residence of former President of Pakistan Field Marshal Muhammad Ayub Khan’s great-grandson, following a swift and skillful operation.
An official told APP on Wednesday that on October 26, 2025, Taimoor Ayub Khan, son of Akbar Ayub Khan, filed a complaint at Margalla Police Station stating that an unidentified woman scaled the boundary wall of his house and stole valuable historical silver items from the drawing room before fleeing.
Acting on the complaint, a special investigation team was formed under the supervision of SP City Zone, led by DSP/SDPO Margalla Circle Muhammad Khan Baloch and SHO Inspector Malik Saleem Raza, along with ASI Yousaf Hussain and other officials.
Using CCTV footage, technical evidence, and professional investigation techniques, the team tracked down and arrested the accused involved in the theft.
The arrested suspects were identified as Shabana alias Begoo alias Sapni wife of Asif, Sher alias Shero son of Arif, and Amna wife of Sher daughter of Asif, while a 6/7-year-old girl Noor was also present during their activities.
Police recovered the entire stolen property, including antique silver dishes, trays, pots, decorative items, and other valuables belonging to the Ayub family’s historic collection.
Initial investigation revealed that the suspects were previously involved in multiple theft cases registered in different police stations of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
Officials confirmed that further investigation is underway, and the arrested accused will be charged with solid evidence to ensure strict legal punishment.
