RAWALPINDI, Nov 21 (APP):The Gujar Khan Police arrested three alleged liquor suppliers and recovered more than 500 bottles of the contraband in separate operations, a spokesman for the Rawalpindi Police said on Thursday.
Acting on intelligence, the police apprehended the three suspects, each found involved in supplying illicit liquor in the area. The recovered bottles were taken into custody as evidence. Separate cases were registered against all three.
Superintendent of Police Saddar Anam Sher said the suspects would be sent to court with solid evidence to ensure effective prosecution. She added that all possible measures were being taken to eradicate the scourge of narcotics and related offences from the district.
The spokesman reiterated the Rawalpindi Police’s commitment to continuing targeted actions against those involved in illegal liquor supply.
