ISLAMABAD, Jul 29 (APP):Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police on Tuesday carried out a grand search and combing operation in various areas falling under the jurisdiction of Secretariat Police Station, as part of an ongoing campaign to curb criminal activities and ensure public safety.
A police spokesperson told APP that the operation was conducted under the supervision of Superintendent of Police (SP) City, with participation from the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and lady police officers.
The officer said that before the operation, a detailed briefing was given to all personnel regarding the standard procedures and objectives.
During the search operation, police checked 90 individuals and 70 households. Additionally, 27 motorcycles and 12 vehicles were thoroughly inspected.
The primary objective of the operation was to eliminate criminal elements and maintain peace in the area, he added.
The spokesperson said that Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has issued special directions to launch grand search operations across the district to uproot crime.
Citizens have been urged to cooperate with the police during search operations and to report any suspicious activity immediately, as ensuring public safety remains the top priority of Islamabad Police./APP-rzr-mkz
