PESHAWAR, Dec 13 (APP): Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Irrigation Riaz Khan has stated that provincial government was working under a comprehensive strategy to provide better travel facilities to the public, connect remote areas with major highways and promote economic activities.
The provincial minister expressed these views while speaking to the media during an inspection of the ongoing construction work on the Batai Nizamo Road in Buner on Saturday. He said that the provision of public facilities and regional development were among the top priorities of provincial government. He added that quality, transparency and timely completion were being ensured in the construction and rehabilitation of roads aiming correct utilization of funds.
He said that blacktopping work on a two-kilometer stretch of the road from Batai to Nizamo was in progress rapidly from his development fund.
Riaz Khan said that the construction of the road would not only provide improved transportation facilities to the local population but would also boost commercial activities and create new employment opportunities.
He clarified that all areas of District Buner were being included in the development process without discrimination and directed officials to ensure quality of work.
He reaffirmed the government’s commitment that process of development would continue and equal development opportunities would be provided to every area of the province.
