PESHAWAR, May 29 (APP):Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit Baltistan and SAFRON Engr Amir Muqam here Thursday said that Federal Government was promoting sports under the Prime Minister’s Youth Program in order to raise Pakistani flag high internationally.
He expressed these views while addressing an impressive function of Boxing trial Peshawar region for women under the Prime Minister’s talent hunt youth sports league as a chief guest at Qayyum Sports Complex here.
In his key note address, Engr Amir Muqam said that Pakistan has ruled over cricket, squash, hockey and snooker in world.
He said the Prime Minister’s talent hunt programme was aimed to encourage youth towards sports, education, vocational training and other socioeconomic fields.
He said that hunderds of thousands of laptops were being handed over to the youth strictly on merit by the Federal and Punjab Governments.
Engr Amir Muqam said that these laptops will help students in their studies and research work.
The Federal Minister said that Pakistan under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has achieved remarkable success in all fronts including economic and defense.
He said Pakistan has given a powerful response to the enemy during operation Iron Wall and proved its superiority in air, land and sea battlefield.
Engr Amir Muqam said that PMLN Govt of former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has made the country’s defense impregnable by conducting six nuclear tests on May 28, 1998.
He said that Pakistan was a peaceful country and our desire for peace should not be considered as weakness.
He paid rich tributes to the armed forces Pakistan for defeating the enemy and inflicting heavy losses to the adversary during Maraka e Haq.
Engr Amir Muqam that Pakistan was our country and urged youth to work tirelessly in their selected professions to make it economically stronger.
He said that Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif saved the country from a imminent economic default and put the economy back on track of devolopment and prosperity.
He said that nation has highest expectations from youth of Pakistan as they will shoulder its future responsibilities and make it forward.
He congratulated the players and organizers of the boxing event and assured that genuine problems will be addressed on priority basis.
