QUETTA, Sep 04 (APP):Deputy Speaker Balochistan Assembly and Chairperson of the Caucus Ghazala Gola said that provincial government was committed to provide development opportunities to women equally in every sphere of life.
She expressed these views while talking to the head of FDI Pakistan, Uzma Yaqoob on Wednesday.
The protection of women, the current situation of child marriage law and the support of the sections affected by climate change were discussed during the meeting.
Deputy Speaker Balochistan Assembly said that effective coordination between the government and non-governmental organizations was required to deal with the challenges of environmental changes.
She said that collaborative steps were essential to empower women economically and socially adding that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) was the representative party of the backward classes.
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti was forming and implementing long-term development projects for the welfare of the people, she mentioned.
She also assured that in Balochistan effective policies were being formulated in consultation with the stakeholders for the protection of the rights of neglected sections including transgenders, women, every implementation of which would gradually reduce social discrimination.
On this occasion, the head of FDI Pakistan, Uzma Yaqoob, presented the souvenir to the Deputy Speaker Balochistan Assembly.
